Rackoon is a French social marketplace dedicated to buying and selling second-hand items between individuals and professionals. Our ambition: make resale as engaging, fluid, and transparent as possible.

At Rackoon, we believe second-hand shopping shouldn't mean uncertainty or opacity. Too often, buying a used item means settling for static photos and incomplete descriptions, hoping the product matches the listing when it arrives.
Our answer to this problem: short video format. On Rackoon, every seller presents their item on video — you see the real condition of the product, any imperfections, how it works. No more unpleasant surprises, more trust on both sides.
We also develop tools to streamline every step of the transaction: secure payment via Stripe, integrated messaging between buyers and sellers, and a simplified shipping management system for professional sellers.
How does Rackoon work?
Rackoon operates as an intermediary marketplace: sellers publish their listings, buyers browse the catalogue and complete purchases directly. Rackoon secures payments and supports both parties throughout the transaction.

Rackoon welcomes both individuals looking to clear out their closet and professionals in refurbishment, resale, or crafts. Pro sellers have access to a dedicated dashboard including:
- a dashboard with revenue summaries and monthly trend charts;
- automated VAT management and invoice generation;
- priority access to moderation and dispute tools;
- Stripe Connect integration for fast and secure payouts.
To become a professional seller on Rackoon, simply create an account, declare your status, and complete the identity verification (KYC) required by Stripe.
Fraud prevention
Trust is at the heart of Rackoon. We use automated detection systems to identify fraudulent behaviour: auction shill bidding, multiple accounts, misleading listings. Any practice contrary to our Terms of Service may result in account suspension or permanent deletion, and, depending on severity, a report to the relevant authorities.
